We charge by the page. Our page contains 20-23 lines (200-230 words), and the rate is determined by the type of recording, the expected delivery of the transcript, and the quality of the audio.

We classify recordings as follows:
Single speakers, one-on-one interviews, and multiple-speakers.

Specific Rates:

1. Single speakers (speeches, dictations, lectures):

• $2.50 per page for volume (at least 5 hours of recording per submission), delivery in 15 days.
• $3.00 per page for 1/2 to 4 hours of recording per submission, delivery in 5-7 business days.

2. Interviews (one-on-one):

$3.50 per page, 5-7 business day delivery

3. Multiple speakers (focus groups, business meetings, conferences with Q&A, rountable seminars, press briefings with Q&A, conference calls, other discussions involving 3 or more speakers):

$4.00 per page, 7 business day delivery

Note:

Additional charge for rush - 24-hour, 2-day, or 3-4 business day delivery.

There is a $50.00 minimum for all jobs.

All rates apply to clear and audible recording, with native or near-native English speakers, discussing general knowledge, as opposed to highly technical content. Please call us for an estimate of your work if you're not sure of the prices.

All finished transcripts are provided as an e-mail attachment in Word document, double spaced, Courier New 12 font, 1 inch all around margins. For single-spaced, specific formats, technical content or other job-specific items, please call.

We do not provide hard copy of the transcript. If you really want us to print your transcript, we will charge you 25 cents a page.

Rates apply to tape cassettes, CD-ROMs, DVDs, and files transferred via our secure server or your ftp or website link. A $10.00 audio transfer fee from VHS tapes or DVDs applies.

Please deliver the tapes to be transcribed to our office. Please include with the package a business card, an agenda or a list of speakers, if any. Also, make sure all tapes are labeled properly. Finished tapes are NOT returned. If you wish these tapes returned, please send a courier to pick them up, or send us your DHL or FedEx account, or a pre-paid envelope. We do not return via the Post Office.
